Meet Our Board of Directors

Sheila Martin, President
​
Sheila is currently serving as board president. She has a background in small business & entrepreneurship hailing from a successful small business owning family background. Sheila holds a B.S. in business management & entrepreneurship from Ball State University, 1993. She has operated her own small business in Milton before starting her family. Over the years Sheila has worked at the Milton House, National Historic Landmark & in Milton School District as a special education aide and a library paraprofessional. In addition to her employment, Sheila has served on the board of the MACC, Boy Scout Troop 471 & Rock County 4-H Horse & Pony committee & is a superintendent of the Horseless Horse mentorship program. Other volunteer roles include Hedberg Public Library & many youth sports committees. In 2022, Sheila combined her love for & experience with a wide variety of horses and her empathy for special needs youth by starting the process of being a PATH International Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor, which she achieved. Sheila is thrilled to bring new & innovative equine assisted services & therapies to the families of Rock County & the surrounding areas.

Danielle Martin, Secretary

Danielle was born and raised in Milton, Wisconsin. She grew up with horses in her backyard and spent most of her young life showing and training a variety of horses. Danielle graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a degree in Animal Science with an equine emphasis. While in college she had many amazing opportunities which included retraining a racehorse, breaking out two colts, and assisting with equine births. Danielle is very passionate about taking the best care of the horses is charged with and providing them with quality training. She is currently the Equine Operations Manager at Chespeake Therapeutic Riding Center in Maryland. Danielle is excited to work at CTRbecause it brings together her passion for horses and her passion for helping people.


Suzanne Teske, Vice President

Suzanne grew up on a farm in Michigan and had horses of her own when she was growing up. As a retiree Suzanne wanted to get back to the farm and started volunteering for Triple H Ranch & Therapeutic Horsemanship in 2022. Suzanne enjoys teaching students horse basics and how to care for horses by being a horse leader. Suzanne is a retired customer service representative with over twenty years of experience. She specialized in the insurance industry early in her career and finished her career in the optical world managing customer service. Suzanne also volunteers with CASA of Rock County and gives her time to children in the foster care system. Suzanne loves to walk, golf, read and being around horses.

Sumathi Sanath Kumar, Board Member
Sumathi has a bachelor’s degree in Science from Bangalore University, and I’m also an Enrolled Agent or Tax Advisor. I’m passionate about what I do and love saving my clients money through tax planning and tax saving strategies. We moved to WI recently and have been working at Hagen CPA as Senior Tax Accountant for more than 6 months now. In my free time I enjoy cooking, reading, gardening, and going for long walks with my pet. Lately I developed an interest in therapeutic horseback riding and love to be a part of the community.

Katharine (Katy) Santiff, Board Member

Katharine (Katy) Santiff grew up with horses, in a military family, on a small farm in Southern, Maryland. Her mother's family were farmers and horsemen for generations, with a particular fondness for Tennessee Walkers and Morgans. In her first career, she focused in private industry, and brings a wealth of experience in sales, marketing, business development and business administration. In her non-profit work, she specialized in program management, program direction, personnel management, and professional writing. She is also an avid creative writer and a published poet. At Triple H, she shares her talents in Grant Writing and consults on Therapeutic Horsemanship & Community Programming. Katy shares that she lives with several neurological disabilities, and believes fundamentally in expanding access to programs such as ours for all people who live with disabilities.
